Happy New Year!/La multi ani 2017!

Happy New Year! I wish you all a happy, prosperous, full of achievements new year! May all your wishes come true!

For this post I want to present you a cute and easy cake topper. I again used products from a Romanian Company but you can make a similar one with what you have on hand.

La multi ani! Va urez un an nou fericit, prosper, plin de succese! Sa vi se implineasca toate dorintele!

De aceasta data va propun un decor de tort dragut si usor de realizat. Pentru acesta am folosit produse DACOart pe care le puteti gasi aici.

Acest cake topper este foarte simplu de realizat. Aveti nevoie de 2 bete pentru frigarui, 2 stelute cu bumb (AD227), multisararita glitter (PU050), silipici (LC050), foarfeca birou (FF101) si snur din bumbac. Stelutele cu bumb au o parte adeziva. Folositi acea parte adeziva pentru a lipi sclipiciul de culoarea dorita. Tip: folositi-va de o coala de hartie pe care sa o puneti sub steluta pentru a nu imprastia sclipiciul peste tot. Astfel, sclipiciul in surplus poate fi adunat inapoi in sararita.

Dupa ce aveti pregatite stelutele, le lipiti pe sfoara folosind silipici si apoi lipiti sau legati sfoara de betele de frigarui. Este foarte simplu si foarte de efect pentru decorarea oricarui fel de tort, chiar si cel raw vegan.

Being a blogger is not an easy job, but it gets rewarding when companies start to like what you do and want to get in touch and find out what you do and why you do it. If you followed my Instagram account or my Facebook page you might know where I am getting. Last weekend I had the opportunity to be invited by Adaconi, a Romanian company, to their first blogger’s meet up.

Sa fii  blogger nu este chiar asa de simplu, dar devine satisfacator cand companiile incep sa te remarce si vor sa afle despre ceea ce faci. Daca ati urmarit contul meu de Instagram sau pagina de Facebook probabil ca stiti unde vreau sa ajung. Weekendul trecut am avut oportunitatea de a fi invitata de Adaconi, o companie romana, la prima lor intalnire cu bloggeri.

It was a weekend long meet up in Hateg, Romania, the city where they reside. They invited us to get to know them, their products and the surroundings. It was a very well planned and scheduled event. I enjoyed every minute of it and I was very happy that I met some new and old blogger friends: Lollyrot ScrapbookingTalente de nazdravani, Solnita cu vise and Blogul mamei.

Intalnirea s-a desfasurat pe parcursul intregului weekend, la Hateg, judetul Hunedoara. Am fost invitati sa-i cunoastem, sa aflam mai multe despre produsele lor si sa descoperim natura din zona. A fost un eveniment foarte bine planificat. L-am savurat din plin si am fost fericita sa cunosc oameni noi si sa reintalnesc prieteni vechi:  Lollyrot Scrapbooking, Talente de nazdravani, Solnita cu vise si Blogul mamei

I was very surprised to find out that Adaconi is a family business. The atmosphere there is very friendly and you feel the joy they have for what they do. We had the opportunity to chat with them about their products  and their vision, to exchange impressions and experiences.

Am fost placut surprinsa sa aflu ca Adaconi este un business de familie. Atmosfera de acolo este foarte prietenoasa si simti bucuria oamenilor pentru ceea ce fac.  Am avut oportunitatea de a povesti cu ei despre produsele si viziunea lor, de a impartasii impresii si experiente.

Adaconi has various brands of paper supplies, but the most important brand is DacoArt. Under this brand they produce lots of art supplies, mostly for kids, but recently they also started to make craft supplies. I am in love with their new washi tape which is of great quality. I also spotted some other new products and put them on my wishlist as I think they will help me in my every day crafty life.

Adaconi se imparte in mai multe branduri, dar cel mai important brand este DacoArt. Sub acest brand produc diverse produse pentru mesterit, mai mult pentru copii, dar recent au inceput si pe partea de scrapbooking. M-am indragostit de noua lor banda adeziva, care este de o calitate exceptionala. De asemenea am ochit si alte produse noi, ce vor aparea curand in magazinele lor, si pe care le-am pus deja pe lista de cumparaturi.

Dinosaurs Geopark – Ţara Hategului

After the lovely visit to Adaconi‘s Headquarters and after finding out more about DacoArt products they surprised us with a wonderful visit in the surroundings. We had very informative guided tour through the Dinosaurs Geopark in Hateg and I recommend you to visit it.

Dupa minunata vizita la sediul Adaconi si dupa ce am aflat multe lucruri minunate despre produsele DacoArt, gazdele noastre ne-au surprins cu o minunata vizita in imprejurimi. Am avut parte de un tur cu ghid prin Geoparcul din Tara Hategului. Va recomand cu caldura sa il vizitati.

All in all, it was an awesome weekend, with lots of joy and laughter. Thank you Adaconi for this lovely experience. I was very happy to meet you all and hope we will see each other again. Till next time I’ll continue to use your DacoArt products.

Happy new year and a cake

E prima zi din noul an si m-am hotarat sa impart cu voi noile mele idei si ganduri. Vreau sa impart cu voi stilul nostru de viata, idei personale si modul in care fac eu anumite lucruri. Planuiesc sa tin aceasta sectiune a blogului atat in romana cat si in engleza.

Nu planuiesc sa scriu retete pentru ca nu sunt un blogger de retete iar acesta nu este si momentan nu doresc sa devina un blog de retete. In aceasta sectiune voi impartasi cu voi impresii si idei despre retetele pe care am ales sa le gatesc cu si pentru familia mea. In caz ca nu ne cunoasteti suntem o familie formata din 2 adulti, 1 baietel de 1 an si 4 luni si un motan. Pentru noul an rezolutia noastra este sa gatim sanatos si variat.

I am not planning to write recipes for you because I am no food blogger and this is not a food blog. Instead I would like to share reviews and thoughts on the recipes I chose to bake with/for my family. In case you don’t know us, we are a family of 2 adults, a 1 year and 4 months little boy and a cat. For the new year our resolution is to cook healthy and to vary the ingredients.DSC_4939

Azi voi impartasi cu voi tortul pe care l-am pregatit pentru petrecerea de Anul Nou. Reteta se numeste “Hummingbird cake” si este luata de pe site-ul lui Jamie Oliver. Pentru tortul de Anul Nou nu doream nimic sofisticat si complicat de facut doar sa fie sanatos si gustos. De ceva timp incoace am hotarat sa scoatem, pe cat posibil, zaharul ca ingredient din mancarurile pe care le gatim asa ca aceasta reteta parea promitatoare.

Today I will share with you the cake I’ve baked for the New Year’s Party. The recipe is from Jamie Oliver and it is called “Hummingbird cake“. For the New Year’s Cake we wanted to choose something easy to bake and to be healthy and tasty. For some time now we decided to take the sugar out of the food we cook (as much as we could) or bake so this recipe sounded promising.

Daca ati citit deja reteta probabil ati vazut ca are mult zahar printre ingrediente dar acest lucru nu m-a impiedicat sa o fac. Deoarece reteta contine banane si ananas din compot (care contine zahar, dar am ales un compot pe care era specificat continut redus de zahar) am ales sa nu mai pun un alt indulcitor pentru ca mi se parea ca va iesi prea dulce. Pentru noi si invitatii nostrii a fost o alegere buna, dar daca va place mai dulce v-as sfatui sa mai puneti 2-3 linguri de sirop de artar sau melasa ca alternativa la zahar.

If you already read the recipe you probably found out it contains lots of sugar through the ingredients but this aspect didn’t bother me. Because the recipe was with bananas and pineapple from the tin (which contains sugar but I chose one which specified low on sugar) I chose not to put any other sweetener. This was a great choice for our guests and ourselves but if you like it sweet than you would probably need 2-3 tablespoons of maple syrup or molasses as an alternative to sugar.

Eu am ales sa folosesc faina integrala in locul celei albe si mi-a iesit un blat mai ud si mai dens. Probabil s-a intamplat acest lucru si din cauza lipsei de zahar dar noua ne plac astfel de torturi si a fost perfect. Este o reteta pe care cu siguranta o voi mai face.

I chose to use wholemeal flower instead of the plain one so the cake was not fluffy at all. Sure this could also be because of the missing sugar but we loved it this way. It is a recipe I will definitely repeat.

DSC_4947Pentru crema nu am respectat nici una din indicatiile retetei. Am pus in practica propria mea idee. Am amestecat o cutie de mascarpone cu niste ricotta, putin unt, coaja si zeama de la o jumatate de lamaie necerata (sau dupa gust). Pentru a indulci crema am folosit miere si a iesit o bunatate.

For the icing I didn’t follow the recipe but I made my own mix. I put mascarpone cheese together with some ricotta cheese, some unsalted butter, zest and juice from half a lemon (or to taste). For sweetening it I used some honey and I turned out very tasty.DSC_4960

Cea mai mare problema a fost decorarea tortului pentru ca doream sa arate special. Dupa o scurta cautare de idei pe Pinterest am ajuns la ideea de a-l decora cu putin fistic si niste stelute embosate facute de mine. A aratat perfect si invitatii au fost incantati.

The biggest problem for me was how to decorate the cake as I wanted to look special. After a quick search on Pinterest I came up with the idea of using some pistachio and some embossing stars made by me. It looked perfect and the guests were impressed.DSC_4947

In speranta ca va placut acest articol si v-am facut curiosi de reteta, imi inchei aici gandurile si va doresc sa aveti un an plin de speranta, sanatate, voiosie si momente memorabile. Pe curand!
