Stamped around the world blog hop

Hello crafty friends. Long time no see. There are some things happening in my life right now so this is why I’ve been away for such a long time but I will be returning to crafting and blogging soon. For now I want to share with you an exciting thing happening around the world. It’s about Stamped around the World. A great idea that is debuting with a blog hop.

What is Stamped around the World you might ask. Well in short it’s all about crafting and sharing what you craft with other people. In long words here is the story:

As a cardmaker I enjoy making and giving cards away. It is a beautiful way to make someone smile. But how about making cards and sending them away in the mail box? Imagine finding a beautiful envelope through the nasty monthly bills. Nice thought. Well now it’s your chance to make someone’s day better by making a card and sending it. But before you do it, you need to know a few things.

-> don’t write inside the card. This card is meant to travel from a person to another, from a country to another. Instead write your message onto a post it and insert that inside the card.

-> it would be nice to know how many people got the card, so please take a photo with the card before sending it and the next person to do the same step and upload the photo on social media by the following hashtag #stampedaroundtheworld

-> too keep the postage low, create clean and simple cards. One layer should do just fine
Sounds fun right? You are welcome to join this beautiful idea at any time!
Now onto the blog hop.

For this blog hop I have created this card using the Anemone Stamp Set from WPlus9 to create the background. To make the card shine a little I have added some metallic accents using the Nuvo Embellishment Mousse from Tonic Studios.

The butterflies are also painted with this gorgeous shades of mousse.

Would you like to win a goodies bag from Tonic Studios? That’s great! All you have to do is leave a comment on each blog for a chance to win a surprise bundle from Tonic Studios. The winner will be announced on Lollyrot Scrapbooking’s blog on 27 May.

Now here is the complete list of participants. If you came here from Ellen than you are right on track. If not, go see her creations and come back for the next stop in the blog hop which is Tonic Studios.

Get well soon

What do you do to cheer somebody when they are ill? If you are at a distance you can always surprise them with handmade cards like this one:

The rose stamps used here are from Altenew and the stamp set is called Vintage Roses. I used Altenew inks for stamping. The get well sentiment die is from Paper Smooches. Thanks for stopping by!

Hello Spring

It looks like Spring is finally here so I thought I would share this card with you today.

It is a card without much fuss. For it I used the Adore You stamp set from Altenew. I stamped the flowers and leafs onto some watercolor paper and colored them with Derwent pencils.

The hello die is from Simon Says Stamp.

To make the card more interesting I added some Nuvo Drops from Tonic. I received them in a Simon Says Stamp kit and I am very impressed with them.

Quilled heart / Inima cu tehnica quilling

The love celebration day is approaching very fast for the ones that celebrate Valentine’s Day. Here in Romania, although there are some who celebrate it, we have also our own celebration called “Dragobete” which is celebrated on 24th of February. Anyway, I made a card I hope it inspires everybody.

I am not a qiller but from time to time I like to experiment. For this card I used products from DACOart, which is a Romanian company of basic craft products. You can find their facebook page here.

Hope you enjoyed my project for today and if you want to stay up to date don’t forget to subscribe using the form on the right hand side.

Birthday wishes cards

For today I have two birthday cards I made a while ago and I did not have the chance to share them before.

They are pretty flat and made with Wplus9 stamps and Altenew inks. A complete supply list you can find down below.DSC_6248DSC_6242

On this second card I decided to cut out the flowers and I used my scissors and not the dies.

Simon Says Stamp Challenge

In case you did not know already, the people at Simon Says Stamp are celebrating their yearly STAMPtember event. They have the biggest release of all year and great prizes to win. You should go check them out.

For this time of the year I am really determined to take part in more challenges and make more cards so I begun with the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge. This week’s challenge is called: Stamp It and so I did.

I had my July Simon Says Stamp card kit unopened on my desk so I thought I need to use it for this challenge. I love the Handwritten Floral Greetings Stamp Set that was included in the kit. dsc_7560

The flowers and leaves are stamped with Ranger Watermark Resist and embossed with Ranger White Embossing powder onto Distress Watercolor paper.dsc_7561

I used PrismaColor Pencils to color the flowers and leaves and also the background.dsc_7562

I added some beads for the finishing touches.

Thanks for stopping by and if you liked it don’t forget to let me a comment. I love reading your comments. Also you can subscribe to stay up to date.

Happy anniversary card

I made this card specially for Altenew Inspiration challenge post and I hope I am still in time to link it to the challenge.

Altenew Inspiration Challenge

It’s a long time since I’ve made some cards so I challenged myself to take part in this challenge. I love Altenew stamps and I love how my card turned out.

The picture is a little bit wonky but in my defense I was in a hurry. For my card I used the Golden Garden stamp set from Altenew. I love it! It is so versatile.

I stamped the flowers and leaves with Jet Black Ranger Archival Ink onto Tim Holtz watercolor paper and than slightly colored them with watercolors. To add a little bit of interest I put some Glossy Accents at the base of the leaves.

I cut down the paper with Avery Elle Double Pierced Rectagles die. I love this die set and the look that it gives to the paper.\

Athlete card

A while ago I got asked to do a birthday card for an athlete. After a lot of thinking I decided to do an interactive card with a running athlete.

The athlete was cut using the Silhouette Cameo machine.

For the background I decided to do some little painting. I love to paint and recently I started experimenting with watercolors. I love the final composition.DSC_5312
